I am looking for a restaurant that serves southern BBQ (Carolina style) and is in the Chicago area.

JW Southern Style BBQ has fantastic barbecue, Carson’s the Place for Ribs is okay. I also like Webers (the grill makers restaurant). That is not what you are looking for though.

I’ve eaten at them all and Smoke is the best. By far. Started up by some corporate cube workers who traveled the south for years researching the best BBQ. They did it.

I don’t recommend going to Smokin’ Woodies unless you want food poisoning. Myself and three friends all got sick after eating there.
